The amazing venue, The Gorge, had perfect weather and we were all excited for the concert to start at 5. Between 5 and 8, a couple of performers took the stage before The Red Clay Strays. The air slowly started to permeate with the smell of marijuana. By 8, it was so thick that breathing became difficult. Despite signs stating it was not allowed, people were openly smoking it. There were infants and children present, with some leaving due to the situation. It's unfortunate when illegal activities ruin the concert experience. We brought a young exchange student with us, and the atmosphere was not suitable for him. Perhaps they should have specified the event as 18 and up or enforced restrictions on drugs. We decided to leave shortly after 8:30 as we could no longer tolerate the environment.
